TheFishingTechReport helps you choose fish finders, live sonar, trolling motors and fishing kayaks without wading through hype. Marine electronics are a serious investment, so we focus on what actually changes the decision: sonar type, screen size, mounting, battery needs and how the gear fits the way you fish.
How we research
Every guide is built from manufacturer specifications, owner reviews across major retailers, published reviews from established outlets, and warranty and parts information. We say clearly when a number is a manufacturer rating rather than a real-world result. We do not claim to have tested products we have not used.
How we make money
TheFishingTechReport is reader-supported. When you buy through our links we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide which products we recommend. See our affiliate disclosure.
